sky hd review

Once I got my Panasonic high definition telly, the first thing on my brain was how long do I have to wait to receive sky HD put in. I’d already saw high definition movies via my apple television and was really impressed, but I could not keep paying for rented films. What I truly wanted is sky, I desired all the films and I wanted football in HD. I had read many sky hd reviews that I had to simply get it.

How did I set up sky high def

Well I went online and signed up, it took about ten mins and was fairly pain-free, most of my time was spent shuffling up the bundles, adding and removing – did I truly want sky arts. I opted for the sky HD box, the high def pack and the movie bundle. It was rather expensive I would now find myself paying barely under sixty pounds per month but would have everything I wanted in high def. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing set up, I live in flats and already have a common dish, so the sky install was just some feller giving me the sky high definition box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this blokes problem. It took him about five mins, after which he gave me a quick rundown on the characteristics. I just needed him to get out so I could play with my new toy.

How good is the high-definition picture
The hd picture quality is in a word amazing. The easiest way I can describe it? well, I wear specs the images on a normal television is like seeing without my specs, fuzzy, lack of detail etc. When you experience a high def image is like wearing the glasses so much more detail, clear you start to see things that you would never find on the old picture. I found myself considering what would the matrix look like in high def, before I knew it I was watching all my favourite films again in hd.

Other benefits of sky high-definition

Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is awesome.
The remote record feature is also a outstanding feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the telly schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can surf the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky high def box ready to view.

Free broadband – I was a little uncertain about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never solved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really frustrated. So thanks to bt, I determined to choose for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt twenty pounds for the joy of their poor service.

I got the sky hd box working first, and eventually got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was fearing trying the net as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
